Will there be transportation?

There will be transportation to the rehearsal dinner and welcome party. Pick up and drop off will be at the Thompson Hotel at 5:45 PM on Friday, October 4th. There is NO parking at the rehearsal dinner or welcome party.
There is also only street parking at Laguna Gloria, so we recommend you uber. The venue is 15 minutes from downtown. 
For guests staying at the Thompson Hotel, there will be transportation to and from Laguna Gloria. Pick up will be at 4:30 PM on Saturday October 5th at the Thompson Hotel. There will also be a bus that leaves the venue at 11:00 PM and drops off at the Thompson Hotel.

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 pm, but the arrival time is 5:00 pm. There will likely be traffic in Austin due to Austin City Limits music festival, so we recommend you aim to arrive by 5:00 pm to ensure you are able to comfortably arrive on time.

What is the attire for the weekend?

We'd love for our friends and family to dress up with us! The ceremony and reception are black-tie optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or dark suit and women wear an evening gown or midi length cocktail dress. 
The welcome party is cocktail attire. We suggest that men wear a dress shirt and sports coat, and women wear a midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates. It is also important to note that the welcome party as well the ceremony and reception will be outdoors.

Are kids welcome?

While we love all the little ones in our lives, this wedding is adults only. 

Can I bring a plus one?

Due to limited capacity, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

When should I book my accommodations?

Austin City Limits Music Festival is taking place in the same weekend, so we recommend you book as soon as you know you are attending. The room block at the Thompson Hotel will close on August 20th, and the room block at the Hyatt Place will close on September 6th. Please feel free to reach out to us if you need help accessing our room blocks or advice about where to stay. 

Where should I stay?

We have 2 room blocks and there are a variety of Airbnb or VRBOs in Austin. The ceremony & reception venue are located 15 minutes from downtown and there will be transportation to the rehearsal dinner and welcome party. However, we recommend you avoid the Zilker area as there will be a lot of traffic from Austin City Limits Music Festival.
